Quiet elegance. That was the goal of this Dana Point project. With ocean views stretching across the horizon in back and a peek at a shore break within walking distance, it was the ideal forever home location for the homeowners.

At first it appeared the project would be a "simple" remodel with a not-so-simple four-car garage elevator due to parking restrictions. Then the contractor discovered the cement for the original foundation had been mixed with beach sand and was crumbling. So -- as rarely happens -- the "simple" remodel became far more complex.

With a seriously expanded budget, the now ground-up rebuild allowed a team of top-of -their profession specialists (architect, contractor, interior designer, lighting designer, sound engineer, kitchen designer, landscape designer and more) to team with  the homeowners to create this dream home from "scratch."
