RESIDENTIAL - UNIVERSITY CITY

The owners of a dated University City home wanted to stay in their neighborhood. However they also wanted to completely transform the existing structure into their modern dream home, making sure it included key elements that allowed them to age in place as well as adding fun features they would enjoy.
This required a major remodel/rebuild, adding a second story, and included several unique elements:
-
Doorways and halls wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair;
-
Adjustable kitchen and bathroom counter heights;
-
An elevator to the new second floor (and back);
-
A sky bridge soaring over the grand entry and connecting the east wing to the west wing;
-
A crows' nest in the back to make flying radio control airplanes over the back canyon easy;
-
A fire pole for swift access to the ground floor.
The home also includes a secret room, but please keep this to yourself.
